  • Trial post on the website
    • Choose two of the sample DH projects on this site.  Given the six categories of DH approaches we have outlined (e.g. textual analysis, visualization, preservation and archiving, digital edition, audio analysis, crowdsourcing) what is the primary DH focus of each project?  Is there a secondary approach addressed in the project?  How does method fit with the scholarly subject matter? In what way does the medium of the subject matter determine the choice of mode of digital representation?
    • Your post should be 300-350 words and should include 2 visual components. Post in category “Practice”

  • Assignment of manuscript materials for the digital edition.  Each student should transcribe 5-7 pages of manuscript.  The longer memoirs will be transcribed by groups. Bethlehem memoirs (1 group of 4); Grundy (1 group of 4), Latrobe (1 group of 6); Willey (1 group of 3); Tippet (1 group of 3); Lees (1 group of 2); Weicht (1 group of 1).
